Author Carolyn Niethammer joins Franzi to talk about her new book, The Piano Player. It’s a novel about a woman who plays the piano at the Birdcage Theater in Tombstone, set in 1882. Also phoning in is southeast Arizona author Doug Hocking. He calls in from Boot Hill in Tombstone at a book signing event.

VOTW co-host Bunker de France on Gunsmoke episode “Matt’s Love Story”

Bunker is a retired Hollywood stuntman. He appeared in 52 "High Chaparral" episodes filmed at Old Tucson. He also did a "Gunsmoke" episode filmed at Old Tucson. In the scene, you'll see him ride up and dismount. He's the cowboy sporting the purple bandana.
