Joining us for the hour is retired history professor Art Burton. He is also is the the biographer of frontier Marshal Bass Reeves. Art has a number of books out about African-American cowboys, lawmen and outlaws availble here. We talked about how Bass Reeves may have been the basis for the Lone Ranger radio and television series.
